HOW IT WORKS

The Process

Precision sharpness means clean, accurate cuts with no need for do-overs. I take my time so your blades can save yours. You’ve got work to do. I’ll make sure your tools are ready.

  • Fill out the booking form. Check your email for further instructions and my home shop address.*

  • After evaluating your items for damage back in the shop, I’ll send you a quote for sharpening and repairs.

  • I’ll begin the job after you’ve agreed to the quoted price.

  • When the work is complete, I’ll send an invoice and we can schedule a pickup.

PREPARING & WRAPPING

Please properly prepare your items for service. This includes cleaning and wrapping your items for safe transport and handoff.

Cleaning

Please remove food and loose debris from your items before handing them off.

I’ll take care of any rust or stubborn gunk.

Wrapping

Blades must be securely covered for transport.

Knives & Other Small Tools

I recommend using dish towels and rubber bands. Sheaths or knife sleeves may be used if you have them.

Multiple knives may be rolled up in one towel as long as they’re not touching. Roll the towel completely around the first knife before adding the next knife to the roll. Fold the ends over and secure both sides with rubber bands.

Axes

Wrap the head, not the handle.

Mower Blades

Just the blade, wrapped in a towel. No lawnmowers, please.

Large Yard Tools

These don’t need to be wrapped.
